RespublicaFEST, organized by the NGO “Territory”, now does the projects not only in Europe but also expands its activities to Asia.
So, in the summer and fall of 2018, the team of the festival cooperated with the partner organization NGO “Beck Intimak Zashtar Uyum” from Kyrgyzstan.
The main idea of their project was to develop local communities and volunteers of both organizations, give them analytical knowledge in project management: how to design their own ideas, how to do the planning, how to present them, where to look for resources and staff, and how to make their own projects long-term and successful.
The first part of the project was held in the village of Ak-suu, located near the regional city of Karakol in Kyrgyzstan. The manager of the NGO “Territory” conducted a practical workshop on organizing musical events there. Local volunteers were able to study the mechanics of concert and festival organization. They were working with the practical examples, correctly assigned roles to each other, and wrote a plan for organizing their own mass event.
The second part of the project was held in Kyiv, where a partner from Kyrgyzstan had the opportunity to have the hands-on experience organizing an international conference for musicians and art managers – RespublicaFEST Conference, as well as attend the workshop on the project management from a lecturer who collaborated with British Council Ukraine and Culture and Creativity.
As a result, the volunteers not only developed a brochure on a project management in the creative industries, which they will use in both partners organizations but also bought the musical instruments which will be used in the music class in Ak-suu.
