During the festival, “RespublicaFEST 2016” on one of the Kamyanets-Podilsky walls was created a pig painting dedicated to the friendship between Ukraine and Switzerland. It is located on Pushkin Street of the town.

On the one hand, the picture shows Prince Koriatovich; who is believed to be a founder of Kamyanets-Podilsky, while hunting a deer.

On the other side of the mural is a Swiss national hero William Tell. The legend says that because of the defiance to the Duke, a young farmer Tall, known also as a model archer, was punished and forced to shoot an apple put on his son’s head. Tall successfully coped with the task, but then admitted that if he had shot his son, the other arrow would go to the Duke.

In the middle of the painting, there is a deer, which sits on the back of William’s son with the same apple on the head. Two crossed arrows symbolize a friendship among peoples.

The picture was created by the artists from different cities of Ukraine: Odessa formation M97 and calligraphy designer Kate Yatsushek from Lutsk.
